¨ I congratulate you on your new and exciting publication…

By focusing on philosophy of management in a wider context than just business the journal opens a whole almost unexplored terrain where practitioners, on a daily basis, are faced with complex and seemingly intractable problems. This forum allows them to explore their concerns and at the same time gives philosophers the opportunity to use their skills to clarify and sharpen some of the points of confusion - to the benefit of both….

People in management who are non-philosophers will hopefully read the contributions by philosophers and so come to realise how important philosophy can be for clarifying and solving their problems. And then on the other side, philosophers now have the opportunity to listen to what non-philosophers have to say and so turn their attention to actual urgent issues
